music and lyric

hugh grant star as a has been 80 pop boy band group with the aptly named pop. while drew barrymore is just adorable in this movie.

the movie begins with a bang with the pop music video which if that doesn't tickle your funny bones, the catchy song will soon find a way into your head.

surprisingly there's a lot of good songs in this movie which are sung by hugh grant himself, and i have to admit for some of the songs he really does sounds like boyzone.

then there's also that awesome duet with hugh and drew which probably is the center piece of the movie.

overall it's a simple love story but it's intertwined nicely with music and lyrics.

although i'm not a big fan of hugh grant, i kind of enjoy this movie quite a lot. i would rate it a nice 7.5/10
